You can always switch the trackers off by removing them through the terminal, or deselecting the quest that begins the first time you place a tracker on a companion. One of the more unique mods on Nexus is the Storyteller Companion.It was created by Shodd圜ast, a Youtuber who specializes in Fallout lore. You can even select the option to put a tracker on all of your companions. Not every companion mod is built for pure combat. Take a look at your map to see exactly where your companion has been hiding this entire time. Going into this menu option will allow you to select any of your currently recruited companions and place a marker at their location.
However, one the best features of this cool little machine is the Access VIP tracker. You can even add how many settlers you want assigned to a job, right from the terminal. Assign unemployed settlers to any open tasks in your settlement, or check up on those that already have jobs.
